Speaking of Taylor Swift… time for a trip recap!

We left bright and early Halloween morning and drove to Louisville.

Had dinner at a troll pub.

We stayed at a Marriott right there in downtown and when we got in the room we were like “oh look, how nice they have a noise machine and ear plugs, what nice amenities!” Later on we realized those are necessities because they’ve probably gotten a gazillion complaints about how LOUD traffic is!! I was woken up by people revving their engines right outside our window multiple times throughout the night, even with the noise machine going, and my own ear plugs (bought for the concert) in. Plus the room wouldn’t stay cold – we’d turn the AC all the way down, it would get nice and cool… and then immediately shut off and you’d get hot. So we all slept like crap.

But no time to complain, we were up early, face sparkles on and back in the car to head to Indy.

GIANT TAYLOR!!

We went straight to the convention center so we could get in line for merch. Paid way too much for parking but oh well.

Weird being back in this space 19 years later (we went to Star Wars Celebration 3 here back in 2005)

Glad we got on over there and in line, because I heard it got crazy later. We waited maybe an hour and a half? And most of that was because we got there before they technically opened. I got the blue crewneck tour shirt, Chase got a tshirt and we got the poster. Also some stuff for friends.

Dropped all that back off at the car in the parking garage then headed to lunch.

We had lunch at Harry and Izzy’s – I booked this MONTHS ago and so glad I did, it was really good! They had this incredible beer cheese soup…

At that point our Indy hotel was ready for check in so we headed that way to drop our stuff off, freshen up and get ready for the actual concert.

Ash’s cute jacket she made!!

Then the moment of truth… seen so many videos and stories of peoples’ tickets being stolen out of their ticketmaster account or their tickets not working and was so anxious all week. IT ALL WORKED WHEW

OMG it’s real!

We were definitely in the nosebleeds, as you can we were 3 rows from the very back! LOL

But we had an amazing unobstructed view of the whole stadium, it was pretty neat, we were all really happy with our seats.

I once again failed at trading bracelets. I thought it’d be easier here! Definitely did trade and give some away but came home with a bunch.

It’s TIME

She’s real, I saw her with my own eyes

I won’t spam a bunch more!!

We screamed sang everything. Everybody else was standing and singing the whole time too so you couldn’t even hear yourself. But nobody was screeching so I didn’t have to use the earplugs I brought, yay! The little girls in front of us were so funny, they got to scream the “1, 2, 3 let’s go bitch!” part and then collapsed into giggles. Getting to sing All too Well with 69,000 other people was incredible.

The 2 biggest highlights were our surprise songs – first we got the Albatross which is one of my favs off TTPD so that was awesome. But then we got EXILE!! I had literally been talking to Ash the day before that my fav surprise song of all time was when she did exile and the crowd was singing along. And then we got to do it. We got to sing exile with Taylor! OMG.

And then we got a huge Errors tour moment when her battery pack wasn’t working? That was neat to see and experience!

After the show was over we sat and let the crowd thin out before leaving. A nice security person took this pic for us.

I wish we’d taken more pics of us and each other throughout the day, but that’s my only complaint of the whole thing. I think we all just felt rushed and taking pics fell by the wayside.

We walked to the car in a sea of Swifties, took about an hour to get out of our parking lot, but once we were out we were out. Google maps took us some kind of scary way by some creepy factory in the middle of nowhere but hey, we had no traffic LOL

We were all hungry so we found a 24 hour McDonald’s. The McDonald’s was lackluster but this sign across from it gave us all the giggles.

We finally got back to the hotel around 2am, completely exhausted but very happy.

The next morning we tried to hit up one of the little boutique coffee shops that was doing Taylor-themed stuff, but one of them we could not find, the map kept leading us to a deadend, and the other had a line out the door and around the corner, so we said forget it and got fast food.

Stopped at Buc-ee’s for snacks.

Got home around 5, dropped Ash off, couldn’t agree on dinner, so Chase ended up with Chinese food and I got Huey’s LOL

Sunday I melted into the couch and didn’t do much of anything. We did cook a roast but ended up going out to eat with my parents, so the roast will be dinner tonight. Kevin came to dinner too!

MY BOY

And got this in the mail:
